There are tons of MFG's and as long as you maintain the width the rest can be made to fit together. All of a sudden it makes a lot more sense than the ladder style. If you think about the lower section and that you can walk through it. I am to heavy and the wooden boards do not lock the ends of the scaffold together. I would NEVER use wooden planks for walking on. If you set it up outside you will need leveling jacks, not wheels. I bought a set for about 100 bucks and one of the breaks is broken a year later. Taller frames need longer X braces than the shorter frames. The pics left to right are lower mid and then the board to stand on.Īs you mix the heights you will find you need different X braces to keep every thing together. These lock the sides together so the tower can move as one piece. The last piece of the puzzle is the Aluminum frames to walk on. Then I have other frames that are 3-4-5 feet high so I can build a height that works for me. I mix and match my frames, I use the walk through on the bottom section 6' high. I have used scaffolding in ware houses that was close to 20 feet tall. Now if I’ve completely misunderstood and your putting scaffold ON the roof, never mind. Can be powered by : DEWALT, MAKITA, MILWAUKEE, STANLEY (18V), PORTER CABLE, BLACK & DECKER. Compact and easy to transport to a job site. The electric motor can be installed on all Metaltech Baker type scaffolds. However, I’m super comfortable on a scaffold and would be fine walking off it to the roof. The Climb-N-Go allows the scaffolding to be moved without having to descend to move it. If course I’m assuming this is on a level surface. Maybe use the scaffold to hold material and work off ladders. If double stacked, definitely use the outriggers. It’s also handy for a second work/materials space. If you decide to double stack, I would still put the second platform board in place on the first stack for added stability. If you stack two high and put the second platform at the tippy top, it’s about 3 ft above the eaves. You’ll have to climb over the top of the end piece to get on to the platform if it sits level to the eaves. If you go with two stacks, the end piece, the ladder, will be in your way if the platform is level to eaves height. Maybe one person works on the platform hoisting stuff to the person on the roof? If the eaves are at 9, are two stacks necessary? One stack with wheels is 6.5’ tall if you’re standing on it you can easily reach nine. When I worked with another person on the platform, we put our materials in the middle and had to be very aware of where our feet were. It’s tight working with two people on the platform. If I understand correctly, you want to use a double baker to work from set up next to your roof where the eaves are 9 ft. I usually don’t chime in here but, I’ve spent a lot of time on double bakers working as a faux painter for 20 yrs. Fits 43" Ladder sectionsĥ Rung End Frame access Ladder.Hi.
